Hazards of occupational exposure to welding fume and related control measures

Welding is very important process in many industrial fields, and occupational exposure to welding fume is very common and the health problems, such as welder's pneumoconiosis, arising from such exposure, become obvious recently in China. To protect the workers' health, the exposure opportunities in various industries such as shipbuilding, container manufacturing, pressure container manufacturing and automotive industry were reviewed, and the control measures against welding fume hazards were discussed.
